TrustMate ("we", "our", "the app") connects customers with verified local skilled workers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it's protected.
When you register, we collect your name, phone number, and location (city and area) to connect you with nearby services or job requests. Workers additionally provide a selfie and a work/shop photo for identity verification, along with their skills and experience.
Your phone number is used solely for account login (via OTP verification) and booking-related communication. Your location is used to match customers with nearby verified workers. Worker contact details are shared with a customer only after a booking is confirmed, and vice versa.
Worker verification photos (selfie and work photo) are reviewed by TrustMate administrators to confirm identity before a worker is allowed to accept jobs. These photos are stored securely and are not shared publicly or with other users.
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and push notifications, and Supabase for secure data storage. Location lookups may use OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to convert GPS coordinates into a readable address. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security practices.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information is only shared between a customer and worker as needed to complete a booking (e.g. phone number, address for the job location).
Your account information is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us using the details below.
TrustMate is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
You can update your profile information, switch account roles, or delete your account at any time from within the app. You may also disable location permissions from your device settings, though this will limit the app's ability to match you with nearby workers or customers.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
